Addiction - an occasional cup that brought a smile to your face as you breathed in the dark rich aroma before that first delicious taste, signaling the start of another day.
then after a time it began to change coffee wasn t just the occasional pleasure, a wonderful smell, a warm rich taste, it became something more, something you needed.
a hit' you needed to stay alert and then coffee became a pick you up, coffee became, although you would never admit it, a necessary crutch.
when was the last time you said but the fact is if you are a heavy user of caffeine or any drug, it s impacting your physical or mental health in one way or another, and if that isn't what you want then its time to take back control and bring it back to a manageable, pleasurable, occasional pastime rather than a daily, needed, habit where the joy has all but gone.
